How to add DNS records in Namecheap

Edited

If your domain is managed through Namecheap, follow the steps below to add the DNS records that Suppli provides during your custom email domain setup.

Before you start

Make sure you have the 5 DNS records from Suppli ready — we'll have sent these to you after registering your domain. You'll also need to be logged in to your Namecheap account.

Steps

  1. Go to namecheap.com and sign in to your account.

  2. In the top navigation, click your account name and select Domain List from the dropdown.

  3. Find the domain you want to update and click the Manage button next to it.

  4. On the domain management page, click the Advanced DNS tab.

  5. Scroll to the Host Records section and click Add New Record.

  6. In the Type dropdown, select the record type (TXT, MX, or CNAME) as specified by Suppli.

  7. Fill in the Host and Value fields using the values provided by Suppli.

  8. Set the TTL to Automatic unless told otherwise.

  9. Click the checkmark (✓) to save the record.

  10. Repeat steps 5–9 for each of the 5 DNS records.

  11. Once all records are added, click Save All Changes.

Once all records are added

Let Suppli know you've added all 5 records and we'll verify your domain. Namecheap DNS changes typically propagate within minutes to a few hours.

Troubleshooting

If you don't see an Advanced DNS tab, your domain may be using custom nameservers (e.g. pointing to Cloudflare). In that case, DNS records need to be added through whichever provider your nameservers point to — follow the guide for that provider instead.

If a record doesn't appear after saving, refresh the page and check the Host Records section again to confirm it was saved correctly.
